About Kate:

Kate DiCato is the Director of Operations at Linkage, where she coordinates global facilitation and instructional needs across client projects, manages centralized scheduling, and contributes to streamlining processes and improving efficiency. Kate also provides event operations support, both in person and virtually, to the Women in Leadership Institute.

Background & Experience:

Prior to Linkage, Kate was an Assistant Director of Housing at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she provided leadership and vision for the Housing Conduct system within residential life and focused on student conduct, crisis management, and policy development and implementation. While in this role, Kate coauthored a chapter “Assessing Conduct and Student Behavior” in Conduct and Community: A Residence Life Practitioner’s Guide (2018); served on the COVID Care for Students triage team; served as a departmental representative for a town-gown working group aimed at reducing the negative impacts of high-risk drinking among K-12 and college students; and participated in drafting initiatives and recommendations for hazing prevention to deliver to senior leadership for hazing prevention and enforcement. 

Previously, Kate was a Housing Services Coordinator at George Mason University, and managed guest housing, conference, orientation, intern and summer school programs. She recruited, trained and supervised summer student managers and student employees, and she coordinated the recruitment, selection and training of student desk employees. 

Kate’s committee participation includes the following: COVID-19 Response and Compliance, Campus and Community Coalition, Multicultural Competence Committee, Hazing Prevention Coalition Task Force, and Emergency Preparedness Committee. 

Education & Training:

Kate has a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Boston College and a Master of Science in higher education administration from Florida State University.
