Godfrey Bethea, Jr., is Vice President of Equity, People, and Culture at Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. A culture transformation leader, Godfrey is an experienced certified diversity leader and human resources professional delivering culturally enhancing initiatives. He has experience in implementing human capital and workforce engagement strategies to strengthen attraction, retention and optimization of organizational talent while bridging equity, diversity and inclusion as a core business focus.
Godfrey leads the strategic oversight and solutions to advance the Food Bank’s equity and social justice commitments through community partnerships, human resources and organizational culture. His work experience stretches both for-profit and not-for-profit sectors in healthcare, transportation/logistics, and charitable community services—all the while focusing on economic inequalities and disparities in the community. He was recognized by Marquis Who’s Who as a Distinguished Humanitarian for 2022.
Godfrey received his MBA from Waynesburg University.
An Eastern Pennsylvania native, Godfrey currently resides in Pittsburgh, PA, with his wife and three children.
