For Women in Leadership Institute faculty member Carla Harris, success is not just about surviving, but thriving in your role. Upon graduating from Harvard Business School, she subscribed to the theory that hard work would mean success.

As she found out, that is not always the case. Instead of accepting this new truth, she set out to make her own way, becoming one of the most powerful and successful women on Wall Street.
