What is the deep structure of your business?

November 16, 2012

An interesting article on the limitations of mission statements from our partner, and author of Best Practices Are Stupid: 40 Ways to Out-Innovate the Competition, Stephen Shapiro. Plus, suggestions to inspire action, and spark motivation in organizations.

Stephen Shapiro writes: “The other day I was speaking with a CEO who wanted me to help facilitate a conversation around the crafting of the company’s purpose statement. Given this objective, I suggested that wordsmithing may not be the best use of their time.” Click here to read the full article on Stephen Shapiro’s 24/7 Innovation blog.

Linkage and Stephen Shapiro have partnered to develop Creating an Innovation-Capable Organization, a leadership program designed to help progressive organizations create a culture of innovation.
