As we all know it’s the extrovert and the “personality” that gets favored and prized. But Susan Cain, former corporate lawyer and negotiations consultant makes a case for the introverts in her TED talk The power of introverts. She clarifies the distinction of what being shy and being introvert really is. (Shyness is the fear of social judgment, whereas introversion is how you respond to stimulation, including social stimulation). In the video clip below from her TED talk, watch Susan make the case for ending group work, finding your own relevation, and sharing “what’s in your suitcase.”
