Paula Johnson, the Executive Director of the Mary Horrigan Connors Center for Women’s Health and Gender at Boston’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Sociologist and Professor Amy Cuddy, and renowned journalist Soledad O’Brien bring unique expertise and perspective to a very specific need: Advancing women leaders in healthcare and academic medicine. And that’s why we’re so proud to announce that they are the keynote faculty for our inaugural Leadership Summit for Women: Leading the Future of Healthcare and Academic Medicine, being held on March 30, in Ann Arbor, MI.
“As we looked at individuals to lead this inaugural event, Dr. Johnson and Dr. Cuddy were our dream medical team,” says Susan Brady, Executive Vice President of Linkage’s Advancing Women and Inclusion Practice and co-chair of this year’s Summit. “Representing the practice and academic sides of medicine and healthcare, their work has led revolutions in the industry. Dr. Cuddy through her research and teachings around the science of confidence and body language, and Dr. Johnson through her groundbreaking work around the medical treatment of women and how their responses differ from that of men down to a cellular level.”
“Soledad O’Brien’s message motivates and empowers others to look beyond what is accepted to achieve what is possible,” adds Ms. Brady. “When people were not telling the stories Ms. O’Brien saw needed to be told, she took on the challenge and created CNN’s renowned Black in America and Latino in America.”
