Reflections from this year’s Leading Diversity Summit

April 7, 2011

Program Director Robin Pedrelli reflects on her experience at Linkage’s 2011 Leading Diversity Summit, which was held in Atlanta, April 4-6.

“We sit in the back office nursing our hoarse voices and drying our cheeks from tearful goodbyes. I’ve said it before and I will say it again – this work is as much about the people we meet, the inspiration we glean and the relationships we forge as it is about the learning we absorb. While I celebrate another successful Leading Diversity Summit, I leave inspired to do more – so much more.

In an attempt to sum up the 2011 experience, I leave you with these words – what we heard is that there is so much work to be done to improve our companies, our communities, and the world. The amount of work involved would be too overwhelming to handle if it were not for the amazing people we’ve met who are putting themselves and their companies out there to drive diversity and inclusion  lightyear’s forward. We hope to see you all here again in 2012 and look forward to hearing your thoughts and feedback.”
