August 27, 2019 Sarah Breigle

Linkage presents the Women in Leadership Executive Impact Award annually to three executives who have demonstrated a commitment to the advancement of women leaders and consistently go above and beyond to make a difference.

This week, we are thrilled to announce the third and final 2019 winner of the Women in Leadership Executive Impact Award; Nancy R. Corcoran-Davidoff, Executive Vice President, Chief Experience & Human Resources Officer at Hackensack Meridian Health.

Earlier this month, we announced two recipients of the Women in Leadership Executive Impact Award:

  • Corinne Mescher of MGA Entertainment, who brings her commitment to the advancement of women leaders to life through her team and her work to develop products which empower young girls through STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math).
  • Barbara Turner of Ohio National Financial Services, the first woman and person of color to hold the position of president since the organization’s founding in 1909, and a true champion for the advancement of women leaders at her organization and in her community.

Recipients of the award are innovators and change-makers who are committed to developing and implementing new approaches to achieving gender parity within their organizations, and beyond.

This year’s recipients were selected from hundreds of nominations and represent the best of the best in personal and professional commitment to the advancement of women leaders and excellence in leadership.

The recipients will be presented with their award at Linkage’s 20th Annual Women in Leadership Institute (WIL) in Phoenix, Arizona on November 11-14, 2019. They will also participate in a panel hosted by Wall Street Legend and author Carla Harris, during which they will share insights with 900+ women leaders representing every industry.

Nancy R. Corcoran-Davidoff, Executive Vice President, Chief Experience & Human Resources Officer at Hackensack Meridian Health

As executive vice president, chief experience and human resources officer at Hackensack Meridian Health, New Jersey’s most comprehensive and integrated health network, Nancy R. Corcoran-Davidoff is focused on achieving a high reliability culture focused on person-centered care models.

Hackensack Meridian includes 16 hospitals, 6,500 credentialed physicians, more than 450 patient care locations, and 33,000 team members, and Nancy is responsible for the strategic leadership, design, implementation, and monitoring of programs and initiatives that fulfill the mission to achieve a high reliability culture focused on person-centered care models. All of this culminates in a community which provides an extraordinary human experience comprised of safety, quality, respect, and empathetic care and services.

And, she gets results. During her time at Hackensack Meridian, she designed and implemented the Office of Human Experience (OHE) and implemented a leadership team that focuses on all areas of business, including inpatient, emergency care, physician groups, and diversified ventures and ambulatory services.

And, as her nominator for the Women in Leadership Executive Impact Award shared, Nancy looks beyond the here and now to anticipate the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow.

“As we evolve and grow together, we are mindful of the benefit of embracing opportunities to pause, reflect, and revise in order to devise strategies that meet the needs of team members today, while anticipating the needs of the team members of tomorrow,” said the nominator. “We are grateful for Ms. Corcoran-Davidoff’s innovative leadership in all regards.”

Among Nancy’s commitments as a trail-blazing leader is a focus on the advancement of women leaders at Hackensack Meridian Health. She helped to form the Women in Leadership Team Member Resource Group, which is sponsored by the Hackensack Meridian Health Office of Diversity and Inclusion, the first network group of its kind at the organization. “It is our largest team-member resource group, and it includes more than 90 extremely active women leaders,” said her nominator.

In addition to her work with the Women in Leadership Team Member Resource Group, Nancy served as senior executive sponsor of the Women in Leadership Mentoring Program, which serves as a model network-wide. She works directly with a mentee in the program and her leadership serves as an example for all involved.

Nancy’s hands-on leadership extends to other initiatives. She also formed the Talent Management council, and its three supporting communities, High Impact Learning Organization, Team Member Experience, and Workforce and Succession Planning, in the past year.

Nancy’s role as a trailblazing woman who leads and as an advocate for women extends beyond her work at Hackensack Meridian. “Ms. Corcoran-Davidoff cares deeply about serving as a professional mentor, as well as with community-based organizations on behalf of women who are in need of help, hope, and healing,” shared her nominator.

Committed to giving back, she has served on several boards to share her expertise. Her service includes serving as a board member for The Center for Hope and Safety, Bergen County’s leading full-service agency for survivors of domestic violence for three consecutive terms. She currently serves as chair of the Human Resources Committee for the organization. She is also an advisory board member of the Beryl Institute, a governing board member of Healthcare Innovation Forums and a participating member of Women in Philanthropy, Experience Innovation Network, and Next Generation Patient Experience.

Above all, she is a woman leader who walks the walk. “Ms. Corcoran-Davidoff is a dedicated trailblazer who leads by example,” said her nominator.

Please join us in congratulating these three recipients on this well deserved recognition.
