Linkage to Present Inaugural Outstanding Young Leader Award

June 6, 2012

On Wedensday, June 13th we will honor Nathalie Castaño with the inaugural Outstanding Young Leader Award at our Talent & Organization Development Institute in Chicago. We created the award in honor of long-time employee and event co-chair, Marcus Marcero, who recently passed away. Nathalie is a graduate student at Wayne State University, where Marcus was a part-time professor and completed his graduate work.

“I am honored to be paying tribute to Marcus Marcero through the creation of this award. Given Marcus’ giant contribution to the field of leadership development, to Linkage, and to Wayne State University – it is so fitting that the inaugural honor is extended to a WSU student” said Harley Ostis, Linkage’s President of Professional Services.

“We are proud to acknowledge Nathalie Castaño for her work and passion in the field of Industrial Organization Psychology. Nathalie has demonstrated a strong passion in her field of study and comes highly recommended from Wayne State University.”

Nathalie has conducted the majority of her graduate research on leadership, focusing on cross-cultural aspects as well as gender differences. She completed an internship at Denison Consulting in the Research and Development department, where she focused on leadership topics, as well as organizational culture. She has presented her research at major conferences in the field and co-authored chapters and articles on cross-cultural leadership in Journal of World Business and Advances in Global Leadership.
