On Monday, June 13, 2011, Linkage sponsored the International Coach Federation – New England’s (ICF-NE) first annual Awards Gala held at Bentley College. ICF-NE honored Hall of Fame Inductees Cheryl Richardson, Chrissy Carew, and Wendy Capland at the event. The ICF is a global, nonprofit organization formed by individual members who practice coaching including executive coaches, leadership coachies, life coaches and many more. The ICF is dedicated to advancing the coaching profession by setting high standards and providing independent certification and building a network of credentialed coaches.
Cheryl Richardson is a founding member and the first president of the ICF. Richardson has helped pave the way for the profession of coaching in the public eye. She has authored several books, most recently The Art of Extreme Self Care. Her work has been covered widely in the media including The Today Show, New York Times, USA Today and O Magazine. Most recently, Richardson appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show and accompanied Ms. Winfrey on the “Live Your Best Life” nationwide tour. | |
Chrissy Carew is a past Vice President of the ICF. Carew served three terms on the Board of Directors and six terms as the Public Relations and Marketing Chair. Carew is a coaching pioneer who spearheaded high-impact public relations campaigns that resulted in the gargantuan growth of the coaching industry. In addition to being featured in the media, including CBS’ The Early Show, Entrepreneur Magazine, and Simple Living, she hosted a regular coaching radio show and was featured in a weekly coaching segment on ABC’s WMUR TV News. | |
Wendy Capland is a past president of the ICF-NE, founding member of the International Consortium for Coaching in Organizations and an executive board member for the International Executive Coaching Summit. She is an executive leadership development coach, trainer and consultant for top executives and their management teams. She hosts a TV show on Internet and Cable, is a published author, and was selected as one of the top 500 female coaches worldwide 2009. |
In addition to the hall of fame induction, there were six other awards given including the executive coach of the year, career coach of the year, life coach of the year, business coach of the year, spirit of hope award and director award.
