Moneyball is the 2011 motion picture starring Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill that tells the true story of Oakland A’s General Manager Billy Beane’s successful attempt to put together a baseball club on a tight budget by employing computer-generated analysis to draft his players. At a time when buying players was not an option for the A’s, Beane’s method for developing his organization (team) was truly innovative.
