From the official press release…

(Boston, MA, June 7, 2010) – Linkage’s 14th annual Global Institute for Leadership Development (GILD) will include some of today’s most prominent thought leaders, business gurus, and authors. GILD is a world-renowned five-day immersion learning program taking place October 17-22, 2010 in Palm Desert, CA. The event will feature over 100 faculty including:

  • Mitch Albom, best-selling author of Tuesdays with Morrie and Have a Little Faith,
  • Howard Dean, former Governor of Vermont and President of the Democratic National Committee, and
  • Hank Haney, Tiger Woods’ former golf coach and host of The Haney Project.

Award-winning newspaper columnist and best-selling author Mitch Albom will address how to become a more successful leader by evoking trust. Former six-term governor and founder of Democracy for America, Howard Dean will discuss how to leverage different leadership styles to create a more profitable organization. Top ranked golf coach Hank Haney will speak on producing results through goal setting, monitoring progress, and driving flawless execution.

GILD is unlike any other leadership development program. GILD is a competency-based leadership development experience for senior leaders, leadership teams, and emerging leaders. Only GILD combines the depth of an immersion learning workshop, the rigor of a university executive education program, and the pace and scale of a world-class conference to provide accelerated, transformational leadership growth. This year’s event will held at the Desert Springs Marriott Resort and Spa.
