About Geoff Canada:

Geoffrey Canada is an educational reformer who leads the Harlem Children’s Zone, a hugely ambitious network of charter schools renowned for its cradle-to-college approach. Mr. Canada, who founded the New York organization in 1997, manages the first and only organization in the country that pulls together integrated social and educational  services for thousands of children at once.

President Obama created a grant program to copy Mr. Canada’s block-by-block approach to ending poverty. The British government praised his charter school as a model.
