Fast Company Founder Alan Webber to Receive Linkage Award

October 20, 2016 Sarah Breigle

Linkage GILD co-chair Richard Leider presented the 2016 Warren Bennis Award for Excellence in Leadership to Alan Webber at our 20th Global Institute for Leadership Development® in Palm Desert, CA. Alan is the former Editorial Director and Managing Director of Harvard Business Review and co-founder of the business/technology magazine Fast Company.

Warren Bennis, referred to as the “Dean of Leadership Gurus” by Forbes, was an exemplary leader who practiced leadership, studied it, wrote about it and taught it for decades. This award is given to a recipient who demonstrates courage, endurance, capability and success in his or her field and is an inspiration and role model for current and aspiring leaders.

“There is nothing in the world that measures up to what Warren Bennis’ legacy is all about,” said Alan. “It is off the charts. Warren was a friend of mine. I loved him dearly and he taught me enormous things. He was funny, irreverent, and humble.”

We are thrilled that Alan is joining us to share his words of wisdom. Read the full story.
