Get Email UpdatesWebinar Recording: Making Corporate Culture More Inclusive
Presented by Jean-Marie Navetta and Robby Gregg
Original date: December 8, 2011
Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) employees have made tremendous progress both inside and outside of the workplace–the positive visibility for LGBT people is unprecedented. However, about 50% of LGBT people remain closeted to some degree at work. Furthermore, research on workplace climate indicates that policies have not created the culture change that enables LGBT people to bring their whole selves to work.
Culture change happens only when a critical mass participates in the change. In the case of LGBT inclusion, this critical mass is found in straight allies. In this free webinar, attendees will participate in a discussion that will help engage straight allies in a total transformation process.
Attendees will learn how to:
- Employ effective ways to increase inclusion for LGBT people
- Approach LGBT inclusion through inviting, educating, and engaging straight allies at work
- Guide potential straight allies in their own “coming out” process on the way to being supportive of LGBT colleagues
- Help straight allies resolve their own conflicts around this topic and in finding workplace-appropriate ways to express support
- Align this effort with larger diversity and inclusion efforts
