We are excited to have Dr. Brené Brown as a faculty member at both of our fall institutes, the Global Institute for Leadership Development  and the Women in Leadership Institute in November. Brené’s new book, Daring Greatly was released on September 11th. Starting on September 26th, she will be answering questions from readers in a weekly audio clip availabe on her Ordinary Courage blog. Readers can tune in by listening through their computer, downloading it to their iPod or phone, or by listening through iTunes.

Daring Greatly explores:
1. What drives our fear of being vulnerable?
2. How are we protecting ourselves from vulnerability?
3. What price are we paying when we shut down and disengage?
4. How do we own and engage with vulnerability so we can start transforming the way we live, love, parent, and lead?

A professor and vulnerability researcher at the University of Houston, Brené will be addressing Influencing with Impact at the Women in Leadership Institute this November 7th in San Francisco. Brené urges us to realize the importance of engaging our own vulnerability and embracing it. In doing so, we may plumb the depths of our courage and emerge as more purposeful, intentional leaders who dare to be truly and authentically seen.
