Date:

Providing leadership for New York City is a challenge under normal circumstances—it's easily one of the most complicated and diverse cities in the world. With the tragic events of September 11th, the world discovered that Rudy Giuliani is a determined leader who would bring remarkable strength and stability at a time of great uncertainty. Rudy Giuliani will look back at the leadership lessons he has learned from his experiences as a corporate lawyer and U.S. attorney then as mayor. He will share his insights from his newly released book, Leadership and discuss the keys to leading in difficult times.

Participants in this program will learn:

  • How to create the right structure and team that is aligned with an organization's mission
  • How to bring out the best from your people and take the right, unexpected risks
  • Why it is critical to develop strong beliefs and lead with candor and courage

Rudy Giuliani served as mayor of New York for two terms and revived New York into the great city it once was with his ideas, management and goal-driven style. In eight years, he reduced crime by 57 percent, cut welfare rolls in half, reduced taxes by $2.5 billion and created a record number of new jobs. Because of his leadership, the city is once again a great place to live and one of the world’s most productive metropolises. In honor of his steadfastness Time magazine named Mayor Gulliani its 2001 Person of the Year.
