Noel Tichy on Judgment: How Winning Leaders Make Great Calls

Consistently making sound judgments is the most critical thing for a leader to do within an organization. Leaders who consistently show poor judgment are almost destined to fail no matter what other positive skills or traits they may possess. In this program Noel Tichy will redefine traditional definitions of judgment, show us the complete leadership judgment process and provide real examples of leaders using great and not so great judgment in various situations.

Participants in this program will learn:
Bullet Point the importance of leaders creating a leadership storyline for the company that will guide all needs for judgment that arise
Bullet Point the three domains of calls that leaders must make
Bullet Point the three phases of the judgment process
Bullet Point why judgment is so much more than simply decision making
Bullet Point how great leaders take advantage of redo loops that are built into each phase of the decision making process

A leading authority on management and leadership development, Dr. Noel Tichy is a professor of Management and Organization at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. Currently, Noel conducts the CYCLE OF LEADERSHIP executive program at the University of Michigan.

Noel has long been regarded as a staple of management literacy as noted by his rating as one of the "Top 10 Management Gurus" by Business Week and Business 2.0. He is also the author of numerous books and articles, including Cycle of Leadership and The Leadership Engine. His most recent book, coauthored with Warren Bennis, is Judgment: How Winning Leaders Make Great Calls.
